The Sacred Art of Ritual Submersion
During her workshop, Jumana will share the art of water priestessing, its ancient roots in the naiads, including the global presence in antiquity and indigenous cultures of water beings, and particularly people who have come into union with the Water as a shamanic/priestessing medium.
She will provide experiential water demonstrations, including submersions.
Submersion sessions are very powerful shamanic journeys of surrender into grace, through union with the water and the consciousness of both giver and receiver.
Demonstration sessions can be viewed by an extended number of people, and Jumana will be available for private healing sessions all weekend.

Inika has been an aquatic body worker since 1996, working at Harbin Hot Springs as a Watsu®, WaterDance® and Healing Dance® Practitioner. Her classes are informed by her extensive work as a therapist and bring a grounded and practical aspect to her teaching. She has over 2800 hours of training and over 4500 hours teaching aquatic bodywork.
Inika has been teaching Watsu® and Healing Dance® since 1999. She brings grace to the water and conveys that grace to her students through her knowledge of movement and experience in yoga, tai chi, dance, meditation. Aquatic bodywork is her passion.
DURING THE WORKSHOP, INIKA will lead about 12 participants through the dynamic experience of underwater contact dance. The water allows for much more freedom of movement, grace and ease than land-based contact dance, but also adds the element of breath and listening for other dancers’ need to breathe.

The Mystical Mermaid – A Deeper Dive
What deeper commitments make the mermaid life MYTHIC? Explore the “bubble theory” of Self as well as the mermaid’s symbolic significance.
About Mermaid Vyana:
After running her law firm for over 14 years, Mermaid Vyana has been able to bridge the duality of living a mythic life in the “real” world. She is most authentically self-expressed as a Mermaid. Mythic play reveals her greatest gifts and she brings them back to her daily life.
She offers: ancient anointing with essential oils, Water Bliss (similar to Water Dance), mermaid makeovers for your body and your home, sacred bathing, as well as Estate Planning from the Heart (in her lawyer aspect).
She was mystically trained by the 13 Moon Mystery School, the Emerald Temple, certified in Watsu (water only), and is currently training with Jumana at the Ashland water temple. Email Vyana, learn more at www.mermaidimmersions.com, or find her on Facebook.

Mini Sandcastle Workshop
Mini sandcastle Workshop. It starts with dipping milk cartons into sand, placing one on top of the other to form a castle and then decorating them with shells, trinkets, beads, etc…to your heart’s content. You can take one home – decorate your own!
Kathleen Vought is a teacher, artist and dancer. She loves to share in creativity with other women whenever she can. She has led the Mini Sand Castle workshop for children and women, with both groups loving the activity equally well.
Kathleen will also be facilitating dance instruction before the Mermaid Ball. She also has been engaged in a movement practice for almost 15 years and finds it the utmost pleasure to share this practice with other women. The movement she shares is based on the notion of “a wave.” In this practice, you start off slowly, connecting with your breath, your attention turned inward, then as the music picks up speed, your attention turns outward to community in joyful expression, like the cresting of a wave, and then finally the music recedes back into stillness, much like the ocean pulling up to the shoreline. You will find this movement both nurturing and freeing and will find this a gratifying part of the retreat…..
